JP1 Remotes

every so often - very infrequently - my 9910 (with extender_1) will hang. I havent been able to figure out what key sequence causes it, but it hangs with the lcd on an wont respond until i plug in the JP1 cable and upload an IR image to it.

anyone else seen this behavior? what should i do the next time to 'capture' as much info as i might? any other suggestions?

My guess is that you may have a macro that is causing the remote to lock up. I would look for any use of native command like TV or VCR or something like that. The only other thing you can do is wait for it to happen again and hopefully you can pinpoint what keys were pressed right before.

An easier way to reset it would be to cause what looks like the batteries are out and press any button. I usually just seperate 2 of the batteries to accomplish this. After that you should be able to press TV then power to reset the extender.
