JP1 Remotes

I have a urc 8910 with the extender 1 loaded. I am new at all of this so bear with me, I want to be able to press the cable device button then at any time press the power button to either (turn the cable and tv on) and/or (turn the cable and tv off) I dont want a macro because i need the power button for the other devices, like my radio but not at the same time as the cable and tv goes on.
The problem is that the tv works with the power button on the protocols like LKP, DSM, etc., but doesnt work for my cable. It seems like it only works for the devices that the code was pre-intstalled with, regarding the device buttons. The tv was from a pre-installed code but the cable I had to learn all the buttons from the original cable remote and had to upgrade it. The cable and tv works for the other buttons but not the power button (or device buttons).
Could that be the reason why it doesnt work for the power button because it is not a preprogrammed code? If not, how do i fix this problem?

Remember that extenders do not support learned functions. Using a non-extended remote learn the key. Download the info to IR and look at the learned tab. Using the info from there convert that to a keymove. Then you can return to usng the extender. Or you can add it as part of the cable upgrade using KeyMaster or RemoteMaster.

No you can use that KeyMove anywhere in an LKP, DSM, Macro, etc.
