JP1 Remotes

I have had a 15-1994 for several years now and used this site for all of my programming (not JP1). That remote is now loosing its punch, I have to aim it directly at equipment to get it to work. Usually I never had to lift it offthe arm of my chair. I love the macros and thats why Ive been hesitant of the 2116 or 2117. So my question would be should I go with these and if 2116 and 2117 are the same price should I go with rf or should i try the 8810/8811 OFA. Yall have helped in the past give me some more guidance. Thanks

I haven't a lot of experience with the other remotes you mentioned, but I recently bought the OFA 8811 and it is a top notch remote. Very responsive, nice backlighting, plenty of buttons, and learning and macros galore.

My persoanl preference is the 2116/2117 since I like the feel and shape of the remote and it comes out of the box jp1 ready. If they are both the same price go for the 2117 since you don't have to use the RF repeater but may want it in the future.
