Yes, please do, but start a new thread for it.

And feel free to play around with the code builder tab that I created, see if you can use it to create a custom code and then see if it works.

Thank you Rob, I will extract a few samples for the other unit (Keeprite) and open another thread. All is good for the TCL you just uploaded. Thx

All is good, does that mean you got to test it already? If so, that was quick. Did you try creating some custom codes with the spreadsheet too?

Yes, rmdu works + custom codes
just a note for the TCL however :
FAN0=auto (vs off)
MODE TYPE 3 = cool (vs unit)

I uploaded a spreadsheet + associated ict for the Keeprite unit + new thread:

http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=140488#140488

I've tried to make it as easy as possible to decode; let me know if you manage to extract the associated signals, patterns, pronto and upgrade.

On my end, only the pronto codes really matter but could be nice to accomplish the same thing (upgrade) for it as it seems to be following the same patterns.

Thanks again for your assistance on this, greatly appreciated.

Thanks, I have updated the spreadsheet that generates the codes with your updates. Eventually, I hope to create an entry for RM which will let you enter all those variables in that tool.

I have merged your new Keeprite thread with the original thread on it.

Thx Rob, I can locate the TCL spreadsheet that you built earlier this year but can't find anything "updated" vs the data I just uploaded (Keeprite )

Let me know if I am missing something, thx

This thread is just for TCL, I'm not posting anything here for the Keeprite.

I updated the spreadsheet that you used to create custom codes for the TCL based on the comments you made about unit vs. cool, etc.

I have modified my executor to only use 3 variable bytes, and it increased the executor by just 23 bytes, so I think that's a good trade off. I have also created a protocols.ini entry for it that specifies the time as hours and minutes, and I'm showing the temp in both C and F.

RMDU file and protocols.ini entry are here:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=26039

PB, KM and IR files used to build the executor are here:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=26050

ylaviolette or Carl, could you please do some testing with the latest upgrade that I have posted. Once you've confirmed that the normal functions work, if you're up for doing some experimenting, I'd like to see if you can push the unit further via a JP1 upgrade than you can using the OEM remote.

For starters, when you set the timer, you're normally only allowed 1 hour increments above 10 hours, and half hour increments below. This upgrade allows you to do it in 10 minute increments, is there any way for you to tell if a timing setting such as 20 minutes, or 1 hour 20 minutes is actually accepted?

Next, the Mode function has a few undocumented options available, there's one before heat at the top of the list, and there are 3 more between cool and fan. These are just represented by a dash for now, but you can still select them. I don't expect them to do anything, but I am puzzled why they are even there, so I'd be curious to see what, if anything, they do.

Finally, the Fan function has an undocumented level between med and high, so I'd be curious to know if that's a real level and if so, is it really a mid-level setting between those two?
