I suspect that you're not really looking for an adapter but are really looking for a JP1 cable. You mention both "parallel port" and USB, which makes it even more confusing. Could you please clarify exactly what you need.

This is what an adapter looks like:



As Tommy's store is currently closed, you could consider buying a replacement cable from the DIY store:

If the remotes that you're programming are old fashioned JP1 remotes, and JP1 cables are obsolete now, you would need to buy a JP1.x cable and a JP1.x to JP1 adapter.

All you need to do is look at a red - blue map of the election results to understand. I do think it is a shame to blame the JP1 members for something out of their control, but I don't make the rules.
