Custom Remote - Can it be edited?

I have a Slingbox Pro HD. I have a Technomate 7100HD connected to it that I am using a custom remote that I have downloaded off a website (there wasn't a compatible remote in the Sling setup). I can use the remote on my desktop PC player & on my iPhone perfectly, but the iPad app doesn't allow you to select the "extra" buttons. I only need one of these 'extra' buttons (the sat button). Is it possible to edit the custom remote that I have downloaded and map that button to an unused key on the custom remote, and if so how? The file was created in 2012, and I can't remember where I got it from now, so I can't ask the person who created it. Please can anyone help? Thanks

Hi Alan, I can't get the Placeshifting website to work. Is it possible you can post here or Sling?

I had to rebuild it from scratch as it wasn't one of mine. There was no SAT function defined, the only 'extra' was a TV/VCR code so I am hoping that was it. And I don't have an 'input' selection on mine either so not sure how you got that. So I put that function on the <Enter> button (right of zero).

So a bit of a mess, if it doesn't work we will have to start from first principles.

Hi Alan, I'm so sorry about this. This code that you have uploaded S2010 happens to be the same number for another custom remote I am using on another Slingbox (which is for another Technomate receiver but a different model TM5402). I have tried renaming it, but the slingbox wont accept it. With your comments earlier I am now wondering if I uploaded the wrong file in error, but can't check on the placeshifting site with it being down. I should have uploaded S2013. I would post it here, but can't see how to do it. Have I uploaded the wrong file, or have I uploaded the correct file and it's just coincidence that you have picked a file name that is the same as another custome remote? Sorry again for causing you all this trouble.

*Update - I have posted the S2013 files on the Slingplayer forum post if that's any help.

Sorry again

It's no coincidence, 2010 is the code I always use for my Remotes. That is why I knew the 2013 was not one of mine. The coincidence is that you are using another of my Remotes. I've recompiled them as 2011 at http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=12676

No, it's making it worse. it's difficult enough dealing with multiple people, but do deal with one person across 3 different forums is impossible. Please stick to one forum only.

Sorry, but with the original site down, and unable to post on this one, that was the only way I could think of to send you the files, as I thought I must have sent you the wrong files originally but couldn't check as the site was down.

I've tried to click on your link but all I get is "Sorry, but you cannot edit files in this category."
