I'm moving to Japan this spring and decided to go with an android set top box. I purchased the Armada M8. I managed to get the codes from the original controller and put them onto my xfinity remote (Comcast DVR URC-1067Bx3 JP1.3).

I was wondering how I can find some other of the EFC codes to put into the remote so that it would not only operate with XBMC on the device, but with other android programs in general(i.e. play, pause, rewind, etc.).

I will include the file for reference and also for others who may buy the M8 and wish to do the same.

Each code is one byte, so there are only 00-FF (0-255) possibilities in this case. You can simply try them all and see what happens. On your remote, to try any code, just tap Setup then quickly the 5 digit code (any number from 00000-00255). When you press or hold the last digit, the command will be sent.

Thanks for the input mdavej. I totally forgot how to do that. *facepalm*

Anyway, I tried with no luck. Hopefully I will be able to add additional functions via the android OS but since that doesn't fall under JP1 talk, I'll just end it here I guess.
