Sanyo LC7461M - variation of Aiwa protocol

Post by NEC1 »

I found that the data format of the Sanyo LC7461M IR transmitter IC corresponds to UEI protocol 005E (Aiwa), but with the following difference of Aiwa (UEI 005E) having 8 Device bits with 5 Subdevice bits while the Sanyo LC7461M has 6 Device Bits (externally selectable) with 7 Subdevice bits (mask programmable).

Also, I believe that the Aiwa protocol has some similarity to the NEC protocol (Custom Code (normal and inverse) have 13 bits for Aiwa compared to 8 bits for NEC).
