JP1 Remotes

I am having a brain (skip)....I am in need on one more learned function...can't access setup 975 with extender...please confirm that I CAN...

.... unload extender, learn the one function I need, and then load the extender? And to also re-confirm....to unload extender, I just need to plug in the JP1 cable? Thanks guys. I have had a lot of stuff going on in my "real" world since I got the remote setup with all of your generous help several weeks ago, and need to be refreshed for this one thing.

You guessed it, you can not do learns when the extender is loaded so what you outlined is the process. Unload the extender (either reset or load a non-extender IR file), do the learns, download to IR, then reinstall the extender and add your learns as either an upgrade or keymove.

I had to do this a few times. Good planning can save you time.
Just don't forget to save your setup before you reset
