Google Fiber Remote with MCE Protocol

Post by Noirfire »

Hi,

I'm having a issue with this Google fiber remote I've captrued the keys and it's comeback as;

protocol / Device / Sub Device
MCE / 0 / 116

So I created the Bin file with these codes but have found that I'm getting no response.

I suspect it actcally a RC6-6-32 Protocol and its being picked up incorrectlty. Is anyone able to give me an helping hand to resolve this issue?

Thanks
Phil

Phil,
I can't quite remember your situation. I've been AWOL for a while.

The upgrade you created looks good to me.

What I did see is that the PL-Bin doesn't require an protocol upgrade, so the bin is really small. The only thing I can think of is that the protocols section of the PL RDF might not properly reflect the MCE version. If you are using the PL bin, you might want to edit the RDF and remove the "012A" protocol to force the protocol code to be included in the bin .

Vicky

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

Is that box going to be available on the Harmony database ? if so I could try a learn as well. I need the Model number.

Might be irrelvant but I have never seen an MCE 0.116 decode but the XBox 360 uses MCE 116.15.

Sorry, I have a Logitech Harmony Programmable Remote that I can load any device onto to mimic the original Remote.

I just ran a test and although it didn't recgonise 'Google Fiber' it did flag up a Google GFHD100 and that is decoding as MCE 0.116 and the Power button OBC is 12.

Would you like me to produce a Custom Remote and you can see if it works ?
