I finally broke down and went on a quest to find discrete codes for the HDMI ports for my TVs. I found this thread, which implied Sceptre TVs use a basic Sony device code. I tried 0000 and verified the basic TV functions worked. I started looking for discrete functions by trying all the possible codes one-by-one using a RadioShack 15-2014. Here's what I found:
