I want to use the extender for the URC-8910 but I'm not sure what to choose when IR is asking if it's the old or the new URC-8910.

How can I know what version I have?

Old means the arrow buttons around OK are a single ring (donut), and new means they are 4 individual buttons. Doesn't really make any difference what you pick. It will just show a different picture in RM.
