7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? Yes, TV: 1887 -DVD 0396
10. Learning remote question? n/a
11. Have you tried the JP1 Lookup Tool? Yes

Curious remote, very colorful and chewy "Protect".
There was no way to use the "learning" with Kiss, so sent to assistance, where he was reprogrammed with the following codes:
TV Philips 32PFL5604H/12: T1887
DVD: Y0396
Video ACC (?): N0602
This could be for a LG BD660, because when I posted I pointed out that it could be my future BluRay player
I have a JP1 serial interface that works fine with URC 7940 and URC 7960
The remote control near the socket JP1 has printed: JP3
This remote control has the connector JP1 visible only by removing the battery cover, which contains the battery contacts, so you need to make a kind of bridge to work
I can only download raw
I can not find any RDF.
Suggestions?

Start by uploading the .ir file that is produced from a Raw Download. Also, use the High Level Tab of JP2Sniffer to download from the remote. Probably this will be able to display a signature, which you should post here. It may also be able to display some segment information. If you do get segments displayed, save them in file, and upload that here.

I think I'm going to order one of those... If I show that one to my wife, anything OTHER THAN THAT ONE will look amazing to her... Although I guess she's developed a fondness for the OARI06G so I'm ok. This one would serve as a healthy reminder though. =)

I think Vicky needs to buy one so that next time her DH complains about anything related to remotes, she hides all the good remotes and just leaves that one out! He'll come around real quick!

It is better to look for the dark black night?

As you've already seen from the IR file, this remote has signature 30993099. That means it is a JP1.3 remote using a Samsung S3F80 processor. The next step toward a RDF file is to find the button numbers for all the buttons. There are a couple of ways to do this.

1) Use the Test Mode, as explained by mathdon in this thread, and teach the signals to one of your other remotes, keeping track of the buttons. You may need to make several downloads from the learning remote.

2) Assign macros to various buttons on the 3740, so that in total, all of the buttons are included in some macro. The do another raw download. Again, is necessary to keep track of the button names that are assigned to a macro and also the order in the macro.

I understand that design is not like that.
Well, when my wife saw it she called "the worm."
However, the bright color and lighting ..
Now prefer this elegant and mournful URC 7960.

But I fear that devour batteries.

Here's a candidate RDF file for the URC-3740.

We still need to fill in the [Settings] section, so that Volume Lock can be set using RMIR. Bricoliere, please use the 993 command manually to set a VPT configuration, and then download from the remote. On the Raw data tab, look near address 612 - 618 and see what data changes when you set up the remote for no Volume Lock, or with the Volume locked to various devices. Probably one of the bytes will change. We need to know which byte and the values. Also note that 608-609 is a checksum, and we expect it to change whenever any other nearby data changes. Just ignore the checksum.
