I saw two urc-8810B00 remotes on ebay today, but the price was really quite high. almost $46 shipped.

Yup, that's a pie in the sky price. I'm just looking for a transfer device so I'm not looking to pay a lot and looks don't matter a great deal. I found a urc-8910 on Amazon but I'd prefer to work with someone on this board if I can.

So you are basically looking for any learning remote that works with your JP1 cable, not necessarily the URC-8810/8811.

Exactly. I just picked the 8811 because it already has the pins installed and is very similar to my 6131's. Keeps me on 'familiar territory'.
