Arcam CR80 remote for AVR200 is JP1

I just found to my pleasant surprise that the Arcam CR80 remote which came with my AVR200 receiver is JP1. I hooked it up and loaded it onto IR.exe. It seems to match the config for an outlaw audio remote, judging by the title bar. This also means I have the device file for the AVR200 as defined by Arcam. Not sure if this info is useful to anyone else.

Would someone like to suggest something useful I might be able to do with this, such as loading the device file onto the yahoo group? Or might the info about the remote be useful to whoever maintains the IR.exe?

PS If anyone has discrete codes for this receiver, or can determine them from the device file on the remote, that would be nifty. I am still researching how to do it myself, and that was how I noticed the remote is JP1.

Oh, I also just noticed that it seems to also have the device definitions for Arcam CD, DVD, Amp, and one other device, in addition to the receiver definition.

Just FYI, what this means is that your remote is a "Catalyst 48". So far we have seen two versions of this remote, the older version was used for the "Outlaw Audio" remote, and the newer version has been used for the "Anthem" and "Ayre" remotes. The main difference is the address where the keymove/macro section starts. So, if you try the Outlaw RDF and it doesn't like your keymoves, try one of the other RDFs.

Next, you'll need an RDF for your version of the remote. To that end, could you post a copy of the IR.exe memory dump in the Diagnosis Area. Please make a note in the file description, what setup codes are assigned to each of the device buttons (use the blink back method, if you don't know which code is where). We'd also need to see a photo of the remote that is clear enough to make out the button names. You could put this in the Photo section (over at Yahoo), then post links to these files back here.

The setup codes given by IR.exe seem to be accurate. As you suggested, only the keymoves seem inaccurate as reported by IR.exe. I need to know how to dump the memory to a file, then I'll scan the remote and post everythng tomorrow.

Then it sounds like they didn't move the device buttons around then, as was the case with the Anthem remote. I would suggest you download the Ayre RDF and try using that instead of the Outlaw RDF.

The button labels for the buttons in the panel at the bottom of the remote will be different though, so I would still need to know how these are labelled. to that end, I would either need to see a good photo of the remote (which I'd like to do anyway) or you should list all the button names here.

As I recall the detailed picture of the remote os on page 18. Later in the manual are all the OBCs for ARCAM functions.

Any chance someone could whip up an RDF for his remote, or give me some pointers on how to do it myself based on the Ayre RDF?
