Wanted: USB IR Widget

Post by mterry63 »

Anyone know where I can purchase a USB IR Widget that will work with IRScope? Even a schematic/parts list will work.

I sent an email/message to Tommy Tyler about his hardware but haven't gotten a response. (I know, be patient).

Just wondering if there were alternatives.

The widget started out as a do-it-yourself project. Google IR Widget Kevin Timmerman, and you'll find plenty of references to the Widget with instructions on how to make the original widget.. I know that Tommy made some mods to the original design, but I don't know if there is anything that would make it incompatible with the current IRScope, but I would doubt it.

The widget with IRScope is extremely helpful. I couldn't/wouldn't do without one. It takes all the hassles out of capturing signals!
Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

As Tommy says in his order post:
If you have not received this acknowledgement of your inquiry within 24 hours it may mean I did not receive it. Please try re-sending it, or send me a PM.

1. Tommy never fails to answer. And the Widget/IRscope tools are fantastic.
2. They got snow, tons of it, in Colorado, he might have gone skiing :)
3. Might your email client software or your firewall be blocking emails from some unknown to it people? Whitelist it if you can.
