1. Device: Samsung LN46C650L1F
2. Type of device: TV
3. Year: 2010
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: URC-6131n
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? No
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? Yes: TV/0060 and TV/0702
10. Learning remote question? n/a

I need your kind assistance to find a key command that exists on my original remote control. The key command is: "EXIT" -- I think if I am able to find this code, perhaps the rest of the commands I need may be listed on that device list you provide me with. Just hoping, since I do need a few others.

I have already checked these two code lists, but none of the "EXIT" commands worked for me. Here are the code list links:

Please let me know if you have any further questions at anytime. Thanks in advance! I can also provide screenshots of the two remotes in question, just let me know.

Hi Jay-Jay,

The Device Tool instruction say this:
Quote:
JP1 Device Lookup Tool Overview

This tool is to help you find built in setup codes on your JP1 remotes. The information you find here may give you generic control over your equipment or provide you a basis to start an upgrade.

Your best source of information for your equipment are the user files that have been submitted in the file section of the JP1 Forums or the Pronto files submitted to remotecentral.com. The user files are usually more complete than a generic upgrades found in this search.

With that as a guideline I would advise you to look in our file section for Samsung upgrades that use Nec1 7.7 or Nec2 7.7.

I popped open this Samsung LNxxA650 w HDMI 4 and discrite aspects upgrade and found these EFC's.

With the LN model number I think these EFC's might work with your remote.

Now if you were using an off brand there were things you could have done to find these codes. In this case if you had done a search on Samsung TV's and ordered the results by protocol you would have seen that there were a lot of official upgrades for Samsung using NEC1 OR Nec2 7.7, so there were plenty of sources of information.

TV 0060 NECx1 7 7
TV 0427 NECx1 7 7
TV 0600 NECx1 7 7
TV 0644 NECx1 7 7
TV 1060 NECx1 7 7

TV 1632 NECx2 7 7
TV 1678 NECx2 7 7
TV 1903 NECx2 7 7
TV 1908 NECx2 7 7

I do believe that TV/1630 lines up with the values that I listed above.

Thank you. That code for the Exit worked. I'm sorry I didn't find this information myself. I guess, I didn't read enough to know where I can find these codes. Please keep in mind that some of this is a bit over my head as how to seek and fetch the codes. So I do appreciate very much your help and guidance.

Question: There are some keys on my remote that when I try to program a new code, it just lights up once, but doesn't do the double lit to confirm it accepted the code. I had this same issue with the EXIT code for the TV, until I did a trick where I moved the EXIT command from the VCR to the TV, and now that key would lit up when pressed and then I could program that code into that key for the TV. Hopefully you know what I am referring to? That some keys don't light up in the TV mode, so I have to move one from another device into the TV so the key is operational. If yes, do you know if this is the correct way or not?

BTW, I was able to use some other codes in your list above, so I think that's a winner.

There are often keys that won't accept learns/macros and keymoves when programming through the keypad. Sometimes these are listed in the manual. I typically don't program throught the keypad, so I'm not quite sure they are on your remote.

@vickyg2003, the codes you listed above worked great for years with my URC-6131n remote control.

I'd like to learn if you can help me find three buttons that are not on your list:

CONTENT
INTERNET
YAHOO!

The most important one is CONTENT.

Thanks again! Smile
