Both RM and KM use PID $0146 for this protocol. The official UEI PID is $0046, so could we start using that instead?

I'll make the change in the next RM/RMIR release. Unfortunately, there's no support for PID re-mapping, so there may be issues importing binary upgrades (such as when downloading from a remote or parsing .ir files).

There are two versions of the UEI executor for this protocol.

Version 1 uses 2 fixed bytes where:
byte1 = device code
byte2 = shift OBC

Version 2 uses 3 fixed bytes where:
byte1 = device code
byte2 = device code complement
byte3 = shift OBC

RM currently assumes that all remotes have version 1. Therefore, protocols.ini needs to be modified to show two versions and the RDFs for the remotes that use the new variant need to be modified.

I show the following remotes as using the new version:
URC-7820 JP1.3
URC-8820N
Atlas 3000
Atlas 3032
Atlas 3033
Cox URC-7820 3046
DirecTV RC64
DirecTV RC65RB
Insignia URC-67100
RCA RCRP05B
Star Choice IRC 551 (URC-2050)
Vizio URC-66700 1033
Vizio URC-66700 3002
Vizio VUR8

KM still treats this executor as a hacked executor, as we did originally write it, so it provides a protocol upgrade all of the time.

I checked my data, and there are three variants of the 0046 executors. One old version is 56 kHz and is obviously not the same protocol as the others. I suggest assigning the variants in the RDFs as follows:

0046:old
56 kHz, 3 fixed, 2 variable
(This is NOT an Apex 1100W protocol, and could be omitted from protocols.ini.)
RS 15-1918 O80a
RS 15-1919 O80a
RS 15-1925 O80a
URC-7070 O80a

0046 (default)
38 kHz, 2 fixed, 1 varable
Vizio VUR8 30273027
RS 15-2138 RS80RS80
URC-6131 PVR0PVR0
URC-6960 OK60OK60
URC-9960 B01 KASAKAS0
Atlas URC-1055 JP1.2 10251025
Catalyst 48 JP1.2 10531053
URC-6690 10361036
URC-8203 10261026
URC-8204 10231023
URC-8206 10211021
URC-8210 10481048
URC-6820/8820/10820 10631063
URC-39860 B00 10181018

0046:3
38 kHz, 3 fixed, 1 varable

I agree, except for the Vizio URC-66700 1033, which does not have an 0046 executor according to my data.

Also, what is the signature of the URC-7820 JP1.3 remote you listed? Is it the same as the Cox URC-7820B 3046, because that is the only one I can find info on.

I have this changed for the next version. A complication was with the fav/scan patch, but I managed to get KM to use the hacked version only when the patch is required (but still PID 0046).
