|
|
I just downloaded 1.99b version, ran the .vbs script to setup, ran RM. I think that's how it's done.
Then I wanted to use an upgrade which uses XMP protocol which might be in more recent RDFs than my 1.28. Yes, I will update to 1.30.
Anyway, I'll find my way around , but I thought I mention that I cannot under these conditions close RM using the windows X nor File/Exit.
I killed javaw.exe in Process Explorer, so this post is just FYI.
Error log twice says "KeyMapMaster.windowClosing() caught an exception!"
Edited: the file I was trying to open was this
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=8212
Edit#2: Well, I downloaded v1.30 RDFs and Maps and images v1.30 and RM protocols list does not have that XMP protocol.
And close and exit do not work.
I tried reading the protocols.ini but there are no carriage returns in the file making it nearly impossible to wade through.

If you open protocols.ini in wordpad, it should be easy to read, as wordpad understands the unix "line feed only" line ends.

seems to me, the last time I needed to use an XMP protocol, it wasn't in the ini file, so I downloaded the protocols.ini file from the Tools->Main folder. _________________ Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.
