You're apparently a new forum member, but I would recommend that you read the Beginner's Read this First thread in the Beginner's Forum. Then you might be able to post a question that somebody can help you with - or better yet, help yourself.

There is an upgrade for an AZbox in the upgrade file section which would doubtless work for you, but without knowing what remote you have, we do not even know if your remote is a UEIC-manufactured remote, which are the only remotes discussed and supported in this forum.

It sounds as if your remote is NOT manufactured by UEIC, and is therefore not a JP1 (or JP1.2 or JP1.3) remote, so I doubt there is anything we can do to help at this point.

The AZBox uses a nec 206/95 signal. This upgrade is not built into any UEI remote, and only a handful of remotes are capable of backdooring this in with EFC's. The 10820b00,8820b00,6820b00,Atlas 1025 and the RadioShack 15-2144 have a code that we could use EFC's on, but these are not current remotes, and would need to be purchased secondhand. Unless you have a UEI remote that accepts WAV files, if you really want to control this AZ Box with a universal remote, it looks like you'll need to become a full fledged JP1er.

What kind of remote is this? Does it have a name on it? Maybe if you search some of the remote sites you'll find a matching one. Or maybe if you post pictures of it someone will recognize it. It might be a lot easier just to purchase a new learning remote to use. You can get learning remotes for about $10 or less on ebay.

svenne,
Can you clarify what you are trying to do?
Do you have already a universal remote that you want to program to control the Azbox?

Or are you trying to identify a suitable universal remote to buy?

Do the numbers W09.19.20 refer to the Azbox remote, or to a universal remote?

I am trying to control my Azbox HD Premium satelit reciever through a Slingbox Pro over the internet, and looking at the slinbox homepage I am not able to find the remote for Azbox.
The original remote control has only the numbers: W09.19.20 on it and the letters AZ BOX on the front.

There are Slingbox files for an Azbox HD Premium at this link:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=7334

If you don't know how to use those files then this document by Alan Richey should help you:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=6413

Let us know if it works for you, or if you have any more questions.
Smile

Are you using the Slingbox built-in remote or the Custom Remote I produced for this box ?

I ues the S2010 that works fine but it misses the exit buttom and that one you always need to get out.

Someone knows how or where to do this.

Me Smile I suspect this is an old remote that was built using an RDF file that was very 'buggy', one symptom of which was a disabled Exit button.

Can you point me to the download link you used, so I can rebuild it ?

Actually I have assumed you used this one:

http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=7334

So I have rebuilt the BIN files. As before, put them in your \SBAV\ folder and re-run the video setup.

Cheers
