Looking for feedback the URC Digital R50 remote

Post by burchis »

Hi everyone,

Looking at upgrading my remote to URC R50. I would like to here from users that has experience or knowledge about this remote, either pro or con.

I know that this remotes use setup style wizard for configuration. Does anyone know if it accepts discrete codes like the comcast remotes do?

Any information would be welcome.

Just FYI, that's not a UEI remote, so I don't know if there will be many folks here that know it.

What exactly is UEI? I thought that a Universal Remote Control is made by Universal Electronics.

Nope, Universal Electronics, Inc (UEI) makes the remotes sold under the "One For All" and "Radio Shack" brand names. Universal Remote Control (URC) makes the remote that you're asking about.
