1. Device: Sony BDP-S350
2. Type of device: Blu-ray player
3. Year: 2008
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: UEI Atlas 1056 DVR (as best I can tell)
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? No
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? No
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? No
9. Partially working setup code? No
10. Learning remote question? No

I've tried all the generic Sony DVD codes I could find online with no luck.

The Sony BluRay codes are pretty new, and the Atlas series remotes do not have a built-in setup code which will control Sony BluRay players.
Ironically no Sony universal remote will work either.

Your choices are to buy a cable (I recommend the Tommy Tyler cable $35 shipped) or to buy one of Radio Shack 15-133, 15-134, 15-135, One For All URC-10820N, URC-8820N, or the RCA RCRP05B.

The RCA RCRP05B is $20 at Best Buy.

According to Alan Richey's and Captain Trips RMDU files below, this Blu-Ray Player this uses Sony 20, Device 26, Sub-device 226. And according to the lookup tool Video 1516 should be a suitable setup code for the Atlas 5 3033. However, if you get a cable for your remote then you can just use one of the files below to upload into the remote.

The Atlas series of remotes, including up through signature 3033, do not have Video 1516 or any setup code which will control Sony BluRay players.

The recently introduced 1056B03 (not the earlier 1056B01) does have Video 1516. The 1056B03 does not accept keymoves, so it can't be manually programmed to add any functions.

Is the Lookup Tool wrong then or am I evaluating its results incorrectly? Video 1516 shows up when I look up by protocol for Sony20 and Atlas5 3033 with wildcards in the parameters.

In Protocol Search, the Lookup Tool shows all known setup codes regardless of the entry in the remote field. The leftmost column shows how to access the setup code-- could be a device mode or a number. But the most common entry is n/a, meaning that the target remote does not have that setup code. The setup codes which are contained in the target remote are listed first. The entire list of remotes known to contain a given setup code is linked in the far right column, which also shows the number of remotes carrying a given setup code.

Video 1516 is available in 7 remotes, all fairly new designs. (The 1056B03 isn't included in the Lookup Tool yet.)

Well, that's slightly unintuitive.
