Sylvania NB500SL9 Blu-Ray

4. JP1/UEI Remote model: URC-8811
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? Yes
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? No
10. Learning remote question? Hoping someone has already done it (most likely for player with another brand on it)

I have reason to believe that the Magnavox NB500MG9 is the same as the Sylvania NB500SL9. The model numbers are similar, the manuals are similar, the remotes look identical except for brand name. Of course, that doesn't mean the the IR codes are the same.
BTW I would have answered the question 2-10 the same if I were asking about the Magnavox.

Even if someone had learned the identical codes from another player, how would they know that their codes were identical to yours?
At any rate, you have the original remote, a learning remote and a JP1 cable, so you have all the tools you need to create the upgrade yourself.

Found a match and recorded the IR signals with the JP1 tools to create the respective files.
