Samsung STB controlled by replaytv 2001 and pana showstopper

I need some help...please.
I have two "ancient" replays (replay2001 and a pana showstopper 2000).
I am trying to control a Samgung SIR-T165 and a SIR-T151 respectively. I have downloaded the "Samsung batch file hack" and already performed the "upgrade" to the replay 2001. Alas, NO JOY. The code "shows" in the menu; however, the IR flasher does not emit anything when you run through the "check the code" to turn on the 'cable box'.
What am I doing wrong? What steps have I missed or do not know about? Or what else am I not doing?
