Can I Revive My 3680...?

When I tested out a replacement cable, one of my 3680s ceased to give lighted responses to key presses.
Now that I have an otherwise working cable, I get the following message boxes when I try to upload my RMIR files.

When I press the "Upload" button, I get the following message."The signature of the attached remote does not match the signature you are trying to upload. The image you are trying to upload may not be compatible with attached remote, and uploading it may damage the remote. Copying the contents of one remote to another is only safe when the remotes are identical.
This message will be displayed when installing an extender in your remote, which is the only time it is safe to upload to a remote when the signatures do not match.
