Correct way to edit a keybinding using IR?

Hi,
I have a URC6131 and a URC8910.
The code for my Sony audio receiver works fine on the 6131 - except that the keybinding used to select component #6 seems to be wrong.
I also have a URC8910, and I used this to learn the correct code from the original Sony remote for component #6.
I downloaded both of my remotes using IR.exe and have been looking at their contents.
IR seems to display two codes for the learned code(URC8910) for option #6 - and I am wondering if I simply edit the code on the URC6310 to one or the other, if that will allow that remote to select component #6 also.
Here are snippets from IR.exe showing what I am looking at:

and

Why does IR show "BE or BF" and "191 or 183" - shouldn't it be one or the other? Which code did it learn - is it not sure?
Unfortunately, I do not have a PC with a parallel port at home, so I am using IR during lunch today at work - so I can't test anything till I get back home again.
I am figuring that if I choose the wrong code today - I can try the other one tomorrow.
Is it really this simple - or do I need to go the "upgrade" route to fix my URC6131?
Thanks
Jim
