Can you Channel Lock the Channel Button on an URC3680 to STB

Hello I recently purchased a URC 3680 and was wondering if you could channel lock the channel button and the number pad on an URC 3680 to the STB device? That is to say make it so that whenever the channel button or num pad is used it only controls the set top box regardless of which device button has been selected. I looked in the manual and it only mentions locking the volume controls but not the channel controls or number pad. Thanks for any help you can provide.

The channel lock three-digit code in UEI is 973, two blinks enabled, four blinks its disabled. But I'm not sure it works on 3680 remote.

I am fairly certain the 3680 doesn't have channel lock.

What are you trying to do?
The remote does have activities which allow settings for button group.
It also has volume punch through.

Do you have a JP1.x cable.

The URC 62440 does have channel punch through.

However, the 62440 doesn't have activities or device specific macros.
Also, the 62440 only has four device slots.

If you have a JP1 cable, it's under the general tab as soon as you open RMIR. Under channel punchthrough, you just have to set all options to STB then write it to the remote

You're right. I have the 3660. Just read the remote and I'm not seeing it either. I'd follow these steps here:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/wiki/index.p ... ck_Style_1

In ChLock Style one: For step 1 where it says tap the CBL button, I'd replace the CBL button to whatever device button has the channels you want to use then proceed with the rest of the steps.

If this doesn't work, I would program all of my channel buttons to an unused device button and macro each one of them.

Edit: Actually you wouldn't even have to program them to an unused device. Just macro them all (with the inteset remote you can anyway)

Or use Keymoves

Thanks for the detailed instructions! I'll give this a try with my Inteset remote. Just to confirm, when you mention replacing the CBL button, I should use the button tied to my TV or streaming box, right?

All Channel Lock does is make it so that the Ch +/- buttons work from one device mode while the remote is in another device mode. For remotes that don't have Channel Lock, you can easily replicate that using keymoves.
