12. If you have a OARUSB04G, URC-6440 (or similar) remote, have you tried simpleset.com? Site is down for me

Link to manual https://teac.jp/downloads/teac/763/a-h01_om.pdf

Name of control was the RC-1268
Looks like there is only 7 buttons that could be mapped and it would work with the DS-H01 according to the manual.

I did find a match in Global Tower DB but honestly can't work if they are useful or not.

The one for all UK support page say the device is supported but the remote needs an update.

This device can't be powered off from the remote FWIW.

I made a new upgrade from the Teac A-H01 from the Global Cache Database. It's very similar to the existing upgrade Rob and I posted above.

Thank you so much for responding.

I tried all the files in the comments above and the new one that was made from the Cache Database and to my surprise none of them worked. Thanks for making that new file so quickly BTW!

I actually additionally tried all of them on an old URC7960 and got the same result.

Just to check it wasn't user error when uploading an upgrade, I uploaded http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=13078 this Xbox One upgrade to the URC7960 (which if IIRC never had Xbox one support out of the box), That upgrade worked perfectly (actually on both remotes) so pretty sure I'm not being a n00b here.

Thanks again. Happy to try anything else!

The Japanese Teac site is really helpful with this question.

https://teac.jp/int/product/a-h01/faq

Q. What is the remote code or my TEAC component? I want to use a universal remote.

A. These multi-digit codes are not created by equipment manufacturers but implemented by the remote control manufacturers.Hopefully you have a Universal Remote Control with a "learning" function that can pick up any audio device's remote data.

Also, there are a number of internet sites that claim to have remote code databases. You can try a search engine using the following terms: TEAC+"remote contol codes"

Only a small number of commands in my file are mapped to buttons. I recommend you try mapping different sets of functions for a thorough test. My initial mapping was all the inputs to the number keys, so try all the numbers first and see if anything happens. I find it hard to believe global cache and our other users would be completely wrong.

rjones99, here's how you can use the file that Dave provided.

1. First, download it and open it using RMIR
2. Then, go to the Devices tab
3. Select the first upgrade that you want to test and click EDIT
4. On the pop-up RM window, click SAVE AS and save it somewhere
5. Open up a 2nd instance of RMIR and download from your current remote, and save this file as a backup.
6. Go to the Devices tab, click NEW, click OPEN, select the file that you just saved, and click OK. It will ask you if you want to assign it to a device button, say yes.
7. Re-load to your remote and test.
8. Repeat for each of the upgrades.

Here is Dave's file, reformatted for the URC-7980. I had to skip codes 1199 and 1281 because they use an executor that is not compatible with your remote.

I just heard from UEI that Tuner/4348 is the right code for this amp. It is one of the many in the file that Dave provided, but here is a standalone RMDU file for it:

Outstanding! This is the one.

I checked all the function names and functions for the ones that are applicable to the A-H01 and they are all correct. (Volume Down, Volume Up, Muting, Coaxial, USB, Line 1/2, Optical)

I assume the rest are for the DS-H01

Turns out the volume control is motorised too! Nice!

Thanks again. Really grateful.
