What remote should I buy?

I'd like to get a remote specifically to implement these codes:

All of the remotes I've looked for that I found in the wiki don't seem to be readily available.

Is there a remote I can get from Amazon or eBay that would work? Cheaper is better - I don't need to control a bunch of devices or do a bunch of functions other than power and volume control.

As you're a brand new user, I don't know that it's safe to assume you have a JP1 cable, so do you have one? If not, how were you intending to load that code into the remote, once you bought it?
The guy in the thread below is selling all of his JP1 remotes. He didn't mention whether he's selling his cable too.

I'll check in with him.
I definitely don't have a cable. Are they available to purchase anywhere? I can solder (poorly) if necessary.
Are any new remotes available? Any that have usb connectors?

Hi mmcc73,
I don't know if you are still around or if you found a JP1 remote and cable to start your dive into the JP1 waters. If you are still looking for a remote, I would suggest the URC-3680, available from Amazon, the NS-RMT8D21, rebranded 3680 at Best Buy, the URC-3660, available through target.com, or the rebranded 3660, available from walmart.com.
You can also get the necessary cable through Amazon. I can provide details if you are interested.
