I'd try CBL 1272 or DVD 1972 with the HP dongle.

excellent cbl 1272 worked fine now all the buttons appear to be mapped.

will I have to learn a green button for the RCA? I can use the live TV button from my harmony700 to startup w7mc.(I prefer to keep it in the toolbar)
or should I use the HP w7mc remotes green button?

additionally: I would like to jump directly to a channel by pressing it's #
like I'm watching 8 then press 12 the screen goes black and stays on 8 even if I press enter after the 12.

the initial RCA the second and now the third RCA all did this.

thanks Dave you the man I'm taking notes.

I think the green start button is EFC 00042. Program it like this:

Not sure what to do about the channels. You could try adding a 0 at the beginning, i.e., 012.

here is the RMDU file I use for Windows media center and Xbox 360

http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=26467

EFC 42 /OBC 13 is start (the green button)

To select a channel, enter the channel number followed by the "OK" button EFC 35 / OBC 34.

However, if I enter a channel number without the "OK" the channel is selected after a few second timeout.

Entering "OK" without numbers goes to prior channel.

EFC 170 /OBC 29 is dash/dot for sub channels

I map dash/dot to the button left of zero and OK to the right of zero so I can change channels with one hand using my thumb to press the buttons
