What is the most appropriate / current / comprehensive upgrade for a Denon AVR-S750H Receiver? I'm not sure which is the best to start with, most of the files are very old.

This one is probably as good as any:

As I know you have a OARUSB04G you should be able to learn the buttons from your Denon remote, if it has any functions that aren't in this remote, so you can add them to the upgrade.

This one has more codes. You'd probably have to add just a couple of input codes for your newer model. If you can track down a code list, that would be helpful. Denon hides them very well.

You'll see that the codes don't change much from one model to the next.

Thanks guys! The mdavej file looks like a good start. I wonder if Denon adds new codes for a new input like PHONO, or just reassigns an old one no longer used?

PHONO has been around forever. In the 20 years or so I've been using Denon codes, they haven't reassigned any as far as I can tell.

Oh! I didn't see PHONO in your file. I'll have to look again. RMIR doesn't have a search function, does it?

Yes, PHONO is there. Don't know how I missed it.

In the RMIR Upgrade Editor, I can sort the function list by clicking on the column headers, which is a huge help to find things. But this seems to be temporary for the display only, and I have to redo it over and over. Is there any way to save the upgrade file with the new sorted order?

Not that I know of. You could start a new session of RM and copy/paste the data over when it's in your preferred order and then use that.

Thanks for the help. I got my upgrade working. The file Rob recommended was very close to what I needed, I just added a few codes from the file Dave mentioned.
