Yeah, the idea behind the questions is not so much looking for you to do something with the file, but more to save us time from having to go look for them. If you had found the file, it would have been good to post a link to it here. _________________ Rob

Please let us know if the file works and whether all the buttons do what they're supposed to do. Then we can include the CQ-DP383U in the description.
Also, if you suspect that the device might support more buttons than what I included in the upgrade, like numeric buttons perhaps, then I can help you experiment to find them. _________________ Rob

O.k. Yes the upgrade works fine. everything works as expected. I have not tried for discrete controls yet but I did notice that the Volume controls are switched around (vol+ = vol- vol- = vol+), but I can fix that. Thanks again so much for your help, I appreciate it. Next time I will include more detailed info.[/code] |

I will have to wait until until tomorrow to test this. What I have is a home
made JukeBox with a Thinkpad Laptop gutted out and a desktop lcd panel for the display and the Panasonic 50w radio as the amp. Thanks to you, now I can use my remote for the whole system. I will see what all works for it and reply soon. Thank you... |

Tried the new upgrade and nothing worked except the zero button.
What it did was reset all controls to default settings. Don't really know
what killed it but will test further. |

That was OBC 0. Is this a useful function or one that should be avoided? _________________ Rob

I probably wouldn't use it but someone might because when it resets it also shows the model and firmware version of the radio on the display.
what I have now is fine for me but if anything else would be of use it would be to have Bass,Treble,Balance and fader controls. perhaps that's not possible with the remote control because to set these you push in on the volume control to set them. |

I don't see those but it does look like there are more buttons on the OEM remote, so perhaps it's worth trying the full range of OBCs (ie, 0-255)
