I'm looking for discrete input codes for a Sony KD65X750H TV. Specifically, for HDMI 2, and HDMI 3. I found some codes posted in the forum (not the file section) but they are not working. It is possible that I did not enter them correctly because I have never entered codes manually before.

You don't mention which post you found the codes in, so I can't say if you entered them incorrectly, so I did my own search and found this which says:
The Robman wrote: | For anyone looking for discretes, here are the ones included in Tom's upgrade:
hdmi 1, Sony12, dev 1, obc 73
hdmi 2, Sony15, dev 151, obc 66
hdmi 3, Sony15, dev 119, obc 101
hdmi 4, Sony15, dev 119, obc 102
video 1, Sony12, dev 1, obc 64
video 2, Sony12, dev 1, obc 65
video 3, Sony12, dev 1, obc 66
component 1, Sony12, dev 1, obc 71
component 2, Sony12, dev 1, obc 72
discrete off, Sony12, dev 1, obc 47
discrete on, Sony12, dev 1, obc 46
Just FYI, the HDMI inputs are listed on the Sony site but they're listed as Video6 thru Video 8 (comp1 and 2 are Video4 and Video5). |
But what you entered is:
hdmi 1, Sony15, dev 26, obc 90
hdmi 2, Sony15, dev 26, obc 91
hdmi 3, Sony15, dev 26, obc 92
hdmi 4, Sony15, dev 26, obc 93
Spot checking the rest of your codes against the ones in the upgrade, they all appear to match, so I would recommend either using that upgrade file, or just copying the codes for HDMI from it. _________________ Rob

You appear to have entered them correctly, so all I can assume is that your TV model doesn't support HDMI discrete codes. Does it support other discrete codes? If so, your next best option might be to program macros where you start using a working discrete code and then include the right number of presses of the INPUT button to get you to the desired HDMI input. _________________ Rob

Looks like the Sony15 dev 26 OBC 90-93 should work for your model as they work for models the year before your model and some later models. I put those back in the file you posted. Give them another try. But this time turn off Bravia Sync at least temporarily in case it's blocking your input switching. |

Robman - None of the discrete codes are working for my TV, not even On / Off.
mdavej - I gave that a shot, but no go. Sony's site had no information relating to codes for my remote which is a rmf-tx500u. I'm going to keep looking around on the web.
Thanks for trying! |
