Sorry, I hadn't noticed which remote you are using, this was recently found and fixed (see here), so if you download the latest RMIR it will be fixed.
The quick fix that you could do yourself is to open the RDF file with a text editor like Notepad and just swap the STOP and RECORD buttons. _________________ Rob

No, the RDF is a .rdf suffixed file, it's in the RDF folder of your RM installation. But like I said, it's fixed in the latest release, so maybe just download that. _________________ Rob

Now I am confused. I have downloaded the latest binaries 2.12.1, installed RMIR and opened the RMIR file I saved.
The STOP and RECORD buttons are still showing incorrectly on the Layout as before, with the STOP button identified as RECORD and vice-versa.
Importing the RMDU file makes no difference. |

Checking the JPG file for the remote in the maps, it shows the RECORD and STOP buttons the wrong way around. |

Looking at the RDF file for the R04 file, the STOP and RECORD buttons appear to be in the correct order.
i.e. it looks as though the correction that are needed have not been applied to the RDF file for my remote, which is R02.
What manual edits do I need to apply to the RDF file
351101 (URC-7120_7130_7140 OFA Essence R02).rdf
to correct it and do I need to change the MAP file at all?
Thanks. |

That's interesting, so maybe what happened is that UEI switched the 2 buttons midway through the process so that some remotes have them one way and some have them reversed. _________________ Rob

This would explain it. I've had a good look on google images and they all show the buttons in the order STOP then RECORD, but I'm guessing that this was the version most recently sold.
I'm not expecting a revised RDF in the main release as this will simply give the other revision the same issue, but I am happy to revise my local RDF file to suit, if you could possibly let me know the edits it needs, I would be grateful. |

I'm not entirely sure if the other way around was ever correct, it's possible that the image that we used was a prototype "generated" image, rather than an image of an actual remote.
I have reversed the buttons in the map and image below, un-zip these into the Images folder, under the RM folder, and see if that fixes it, without changing the RDF.

Hi - my remote is a 7130, not a 7140. Will this file need to be renamed?
Thanks |

If you check the RDF folder, you'll see that the 7120, 7130 and 7140 all use the same RDF _________________ Rob

The zip file contains MAP and JPG files for the 7140. The image folder as released contains versions for both the 7130 and 7140.
I'm inferring from this that the 7130 and 7140 are thus different.
I have a 7130 |
