I am trying to create a quick upgrade file for my Onkyo TX-NR676 for a Charter URC-1060 remote and I don't understand how the newer codes work
I only need a few functions
Volume Up Down, Mute, Power toggle, Bluetooth, PC the only one that does not work is Bluetooth I don't know what OBC2 means.
I used a Nevo C2 and a Logitech Harmony 880 to get the codes for Bluetooth and PC
Code: | Bluetooth is Size 42 Freq. 37915 NEC1-f16 device 210 Sub device 30 OBC 80 Hex 70 OBC2=14 |

Could you post the RMDU file for what you have so far, and an RMIR file for any learned signals?
Regarding your OBC2 question, the NEC1-f16 protocol uses 2 OBCs and there are 2 OBC clumns for it in RM. _________________ Rob

This might help you. I've put a zip with two spreadsheets here.

One of the spreadsheets is a recent spreadsheet with all of the receiver models including the TX-NR676. The other spreadsheet is a modified version that takes just the TX-RZ820 receiver and calculates device, subdevice, and obc codes for the parts I was interested in. Mostly, I was interested in the main, net, and BD (via RIHD) tabs. The last one is for sending CEC commands to the input device. I haven't looked closely, but the codes you are interested in may be the same as the TX-RZ820. If not, you should be able to create a similar spreadsheet for your receiver. Hopefully, this will get you what you need. |

That makes it clearer, you are getting regular NEC signals for all the other buttons and you're just seeing NEC-f16 for the one "BT" button.
In order to make one upgrade that contains all of the buttons, you would need to switch to the NEC-f16 executor. Basically, it lets you define each field (ie, dev, sub-device, OBC and OBC2) without any pre-defined rules. For normal NEC signals, the OBC2 position is just the complement of the OBC, so the user doesn't need to enter it.
So, if you use NEC-f16 for all the buttons, you would need to set OBC2 = 255 - OBC (ie, that is how you get the complement).
I have created an upgrade, based on the one that was in your Nevo file, and have added the BT button. I have also included a spreadsheet that will calculate the OBC2 values for you.
