The second one is an unbranded DVD remote I found around left by the previous occupants of the apartment. I used it to "teach" a Raspberry Pi, and generate a lirc config file that looks like this:

Can I use this somehow to directly program the URC-6440, or find out which device this unknown remote matches? I'd rather not have go through the learning procedure.Code: Select all

Yeah. I didn't expect a full conversion, but some hints on how to do it myself. The IrScrutinizer clue was good enough, so I could convert the full LIRC code.
If you are curious, the full conversion is here. Is this a known device? How to find out?

I'm not sure what you mean by Known Device, but there are some other DVD players that use Nec1 16 device 237Jellby wrote:If you are curious, the full conversion is here. Is this a known device? How to find out?
The easy way to find this out is to get 3FG's JP1-master spread sheet.
The 1.15 version is here

He put his spreadsheets here
File Section -> JP1 File Section -> Device Upgrades ->
Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.
