I have a Slate Cleanable Remote that I would like to extend/modify keys on. Internally the remote has URC8200BCI-003-R stamped on the case.

I purchased an FTDI cable from DIYGadgets and have tried IR804, RMIR and JP2Sniffer1_4 to communicate with the device.

In IR804 the driver status returns serial/parallel driver and Delcom driver functioning properly. Check interface returns remote interface check succeeded. Raw download attempt returns JP12 read failed 0.

In RMIR2.03 Build 14 - download from remote returns error downloading from remote. Raw download returns unable to read the signature from the remote.

At this point I wanted to at least verify I am communicating with the remote and found some other threads discussing JP2Sniffer. High Level tab - download from E2 causes JP2Sniffer1-4 to hang. Utilized the Windows 10 Task Manager to end task. Low Level tab - Begin Comm>GetInfo>GetSigBlk returns:

GetSigBlk: 00B000
Processor: MAXQ612

This is a cool remote that I would love to be able to modify. Any help getting RMIR to work with it is greatly appreciated!

Thanks.
John

Recently UEI has been producing remotes with a different memory structure to the one we saw with JP1.4 and JP2 remotes. This remote is the first one with a MAXQ processor which seems to have the new structure. I'm traveling at the moment, but I can work on this in the next few days. In the meantime, try to find out if the remote can accept either macros or keymoves. That will help us to determine the button numbers.

Looks like the remote signature is 263201.

Yes, the picture that comes up on the main link and the two left pictures below it.

Here is a link to site that has more thorough information.

I am not sure how to verify macros or keymoves other than the documentation. The remote is a learning remote and you can manually program macros. I uploaded the instruction manual which shows these functions.

Please let me know the method to verify the functions if I misunderstood your request.

Thanks.
