8910 and interface cable

Hi Rob,
Sorry to hear about the flood.
I would like to get a URC-8910 with a USB or some other cable interface to my Thinkpad 43p. I have the old parallel cable (which I used with my wonderful 15-2116), but it does not work with the TP43p.
If you tell me which cable I need and how much it costs, I shall send you the money by PayPal.
Although I am eager to get it, your flood recovery is, of course a higher priority.
Thanks--

Hi Venik,
The only cables that I have left at the moment are 5 parallel "Simple" cables, but I am working with a new manufacturer to get some more cables made using Tommy's new designs, but it will probably be a couple of months before I start receiving product.
If you want a remote in the meantime, I'm still open until I change the message at the top of this thread, which will be later today or tomorrow.
[Edit: Never mind, I'm closed now]

Thanks. I'll wait for the new cables, which I hope will be of the USB variety.

The 3 types they are working on to start with are ...
JP1P - traditional JP1 parallel
JP1S - traditional JP1 serial
JP1X - JP1.x serial
but I have asked them to also explore making some USB cables. The trouble is that Tommy has pretty much disowned the current USB design, but there isn't an alternative yet, so it's all we've got.

Rob, with 2 laptops, 3.2-3.5 volts, I've been using Filebug's ULTRA parallel cable with 8910. No battery tricks required. It just works. Always. Any chance those be built? Only today I saw a new post about Thinkpad clearly needing the ultra cable.
Good luck with the flood problems! That's bad news.

Liz,
This post suggests (heck, it states it outright!) that the new design here matches the performance of the ULTRA interface.

Yes, of course. I bet it works as well as ultra, I just re-read it. Thanks for the reminder

Hey, weren't you moving to the US?

Not quite yet. I've had to take my computer desk apart so I can replace all the leg portions of it. I've already cut the replacement wood and am in the process of painting it. We still need to throw out all the bookshelves and cabinets.

Hey Yesok,
Give the guy a break! He's trying to get his house in order!
