9910 vs 9960

I guess I have to ask again, please. 9910 available in Amazon for $30 and 9960 for $44. Of course 9960 has the coolness factor, but no JP1 connection even though someone in the review was talking about a extender, which I am not sure what it is.

The 9960 (both versions) are JP1 capable, you do have to open the remote and solder in the pins. This is discussed at length in other portions of these forums.

Also, both versions of the 9960 have extenders available. Extenders are programs written by some of our experts that change the features and ability of the remotes. For example, the non-extended remotes (generally) don't allow putting macro's on the device buttons. Extended remotes do. Non-extended remotes in general have less Keymove/Macro and upgrade memory but this is done via the extenders using the Learning memory so there is no learning in extended remotes.

There is a FAQ regarding extenders in the extenders portion of this forum

9910 remotes on sale @ Buy.com

Buy.com has the 9910 on sale for $30.99 with free ground shipping. Subtract the $10 for a new user through Google checkout, skip the free magazine offer and send for the $10 rebate instead.

$30.99-$10.00-$10.00= $19.99 delivered. Not bad at all. 8)

Now I just need Rob to get out from underwater so I can order a JP1 cable from him and make this baby sing. Hope you recover quickly Rob!!!

Not only are we going to have to throw out all of the furniture in the basement, including my computer desk, but we just found out that we're going to have to replace the motor on the furnace, which is another $1800 that I don't have.

I'm guessing that it's going to be quite a while before I not only have the space, but the free time, to start selling remotes again.

Great to hear about the remotes if you can confirm the freight for 3 or 4 that would be great - even a few weeks is fine no real hurry - certainly get your things sorted first

Cheers Robert
Hi Robert,
I'm going to try and make some time to process your order tomorrow if you'd like to get it placed.

Actually, as I'm going to have to dismantle and throw out my computer desk this weekend, I think I'll try and get some remotes out first, so if anyone else has been waiting to order something, get your orders in now and I'll fill them this weekend.

Were you able to get 3 or 4, is it $11 freight for the 3 or 4 6690

Cheers Robert

I actually got 10 of them, and as the remote is quite slim I can probably fit up to 5 of them in the $11 shipping box, so supplying 4 is not a problem. Do you need 4 manuals, or would 1 suffice?

Hi Rob , cheers for that yes please supply 4 6690 and 1 manual , I guess some bubble wrap or something around the remotes to protect them

I haven't done a payment to the states before so I will go and read your instructions on how to do it

Cheers Robert

Please try and get the payment in today as I'm planning on dismantling my computer desk this weekend, which means I'll be out of action for a while.

I have a laptop and wi-fi, so I'll be able to access the web, but I won't have my printer attached.
