$44.50 is correct for non-credit card orders through Paypal (in which case use my "bank" account). If you use a credit card to fund the transaction, please add $2.50 to the total (making it $47) and send it to my "credit" account.
Looking to buy a remote

Robman,
I am new to this and would like to buy a remote for my adcome GTP 500 preamplifier. What remotes do you sell and recommend, that list at the beginning of this topic is from 2003, is it still current? I would also like to get into programming the remote and learning how to use all the functions to their fullest.
Thanks in advance,
Rick

Check out the first question in the mini-FAQ at the top of that post.

Q1: Is this list up to date?
A1: Yes it is, check the "last updated" line at the bottom of the post.
Then at the end of the post...

Money sent ($44.50). One thing, in the account it says it's withdrawn money from credit card, then sent it. I dont even have a credit card, just use a debit card (account should be attached to bank account anyway), hope there's no problem tho! (I sent the payment to your bank email..)
Will you be able to send the remotes today?
Thanks again

A debit card is a credit card as far as Paypal's concerned. You need to have your bank account attached to your Paypal account for it to be a bank transfer. I had to reject your payment.

Hi,
sorry about the mistake I made, didnt know credit and debit cards were counted the same. In any case, have sent another payment for $47 (one URC 8910 remote and a JP1 serial cable + credit card surcharge).
Hope that's ok now, and sorry for the inconvenience

Hi,
I was wondering whether you have sent the remote, and if there's any way of checking it's delivery progress... Haven't received anything, and when clicking on 'check shipment' on paypal I get told there is no record of that item. I'm assuming it's on its way, but just wanted to check..
Thanks!
Luis

Hi Luis, yes I have mailed the remote. You should have received an automated email from paypal on Dec 5th when I processed it. I dropped it in the mail the next day (Dec 6th). It normally only takes 4 days for remotes to reach the UK, so this remote is already 3 days late, but given the time of year that's probably to be expected. Unfortunately, the USPS doesn't provide any tracking info, especially for international shipments, so clicking on the "check shipment' link won't ever display anything useful.

Rob,
Any idea when you'll be getting more 9910's in?
I see a lot of stores online are out of stock as well...OFA isn't discontinuing this remote are they?
I have one and love it so far. Was thinking of getting another merely for a 'backup'. Plus it would be nice to have an additional RF box for use in another area.

if i order a modded 6131 + parallel cable would you also sell me a 2k EEPROM and 6-pin connector?
if you have those for sale what would the price be for the chip and connector?
i have a working non-modded 6131, but would like a backup and i guess if i have 2 i should have them both JP-1 enabled
thanks

If you're ordering a remote anyway, I'll throw in the chip and pins for free, just put a note in the paypal transaction to remind me.

Robman,
Any word on any of these questions?
