The device button restriction is in IR, not RM. I'm not sure that's the problem here since that restriction is on device upgrades that use a protocol upgrade as well, which isn't the case here. However, I don't think it can hurt to try setting the upgrade up that way.

When I initially transferred the output from RM to the new 1390 device in IR, I set it as Device Aux1 (dvd) only. I have since reworked it in RM and changed it to Device unrestricted. No help.
I set the device button restriction within IR and when I reloaded the reworked file from RM, I removed the restriction in IR.[/quote]

This is the link to my current configuration. I have code 1390 on key Aux1 and Disc 1-5 on keys 1-5 respectively. I have code 790 on key CD and keys 1-5 native.

I had to use key mover to control the vol and mute and also to assign goto to the enter key on the CD key to enable random access to the discs. For some reason adding function keys for the vol and mute on code 1390 stopped working in some of my changes and would not restore to the last good state.

Any suggestions on how to simplify this would be appreciated.

I am beginning to wonder if the eeprom is not working properly since I keep getting odd results.

With this remote it seems that only those keys that have native shift support work with the shift key. Trying to add others seems to gum up the works.

Thanks for all your help.
