I see..If I want to create a binary upgrade file for people who use a 7025 remote and slingbox what is the best next step I can make? I understand that with hardware and software I can "read out" my 7025 remote can you plz point me in the right direction for this as I'm more then willing to help out myself and others for whom this could be usefull.
I also found this link but the file was generated with WinLIRC 0.6.5 and if I understand it correctly this is a problem?
http://lirc.sourceforge.net/remotes/dre ... 9930RJ0-03
However the remote model is the same as mine.

Before you buy any hardware, you can try the file posted above. The instructions are in a sticky post in the Slingbox forum.
If your Dreambox remote is a JP1 remote, you can buy a JP1 cable to read it's data. If your Dreambox remote is a JP1.2 remote, you would need to buy a JP1.2 cable.

Hi Robman..I tried above file and all files in the forum and file section regarding dreambox 7000/7020. Unfortunately none of them seem to work. I'll open my remote tomorrow and order the needed cable and hw from you.
Can you point me in a good direction for the following steps
read out ->needed steps-> working bin file
greetz

@binky123..thanks for your help/info very much appreciated
Filled in the correct values but still no go. I also opened up my remote. Its very confusing, the pcb displays both URC-39930BJ0-XX and URC-39930RJ0-XX The pcb is very bare with ony 1 chip under a black blob of epoxy. If I read out info from my remote is it 100% certain I can get it to work with slingbox? also do I get all needed info when reading?
What setup code are you using on the Dreambox V4 URC-39930 remote? You can blink back the setup code using SET-990.
Press the device button you want to the setup code for.
Press and hold SET(red LED blinks twice)
Enter 9-9-0
To view code for first digit, press 1 and then count the LED blinks.
press 2,3,4 for second, third, fourth digits. A zero digit will have no blinks.

Somone else uploaded a URC-39930 .IR file and that one was using SAT/0031 as the device setup code for the DREAM button and VCR/0111 for the AUX button. TV/1535 is for a Sony TV.
Maybe it is easier to change the Dreambox to accept a different infrared signal set?
Or perhaps your not generating/specifying the correct Slingbox file? I'm not familiar with the slingbox.

The wiki on the dreambox says it uses LIRC internally. Maybe you can look around and see what Infrared signal set it is responding too? You can probably get/make a JP1.2 cable to try to download from the remote. I don't know what infrared signal set corresponds to the 1111 setup code.
Another thing to try is to use LIRC on the dreambox to capture the IR signal set used by the URC-39930.

Other Fixed Data Device Numbers in Hex that I've seen from the .IR are:
0D 1F 44 1A
0C 2F 44 1A
0B 3F 44 1A
so you may want to try those.
Is it possible 016C XMP protocol is slightly different on the Slingbox then on the Dreambox remotes? Someone may have to try to use LIRC on the dreambox to record both infrared signals from the Dreambox remote and from the Slingbox.
