Al, after he did the reset, did you try it again from your end? If so, did you get the same error when you tried to load the bin file?

What is our conclusion here? Are we thinking that we don't have the right bin file or do we think there's an issue with the Sling unit itself?

Yes, I tried. No error but it did not control the box. No idea of the reason I'm afraid.

Sounds like we're saying the Slingbox works but we have the wrong bin file for it. Are you guys willing to do the remote swap thing, where ghobranios sends the Zaap remote to Al and he captures it and returns it?

I can also try asking the UEI folks if they have this one.

Yes. I'm in the UK at the moment but coming across to the USA at the end of the month for 6 weeks.

I just got word from the folks at UEI that they would be willing to take a look at your remote and capture the signals, so I will PM you their address.

Hi ghobranios,
I have the decodes for the Zaap. This device uses a version of NEC1 that does not repeat for most buttons but does repeat for some of the buttons. My guess is that the device won't mind if you use a repeating signal for the non-repeating buttons but I would need you to confirm that. I have built an upgrade that uses the standard NEC1 protocol, so could you try it please. If it doesn't work properly, I will make a new one that repeats properly.

Sorry Rob all buttons are not working.
When I connected zaaptv to the slingbox it came on by itself to the manual page and because I don't have the zaaptv remote I am not able to do anything even on the TV.
This box doesn't have any buttons to operate without the remote.
