I don't sell cables by themselves, I just offer them for sale to people who are also buying remotes (ie, so they can do "one stop" shopping). If you just want a cable by itself, you can get it from one of the JP1 vendors.

Well, I guess I simply read this a day late. I already have a 15-1994 JP1 remote and all ports on my PC are occupied by printers. I sent you a bank paypal payment for the USB JP1 Cable already.

All my remotes are JP1 compatible unless I specifically say that they are not. The higher end remotes like the 8811, 8910, 9910, etc are JP1 ready out of the box, but the cheaper remotes like the 6011, 8011 and 6131 need to be modified. I guess the exception to that rule are the Kameleons, which are mostly JP1 ready but they still need to have the 6-pin soldered in.

What about the 20s such as the 8820 are they going to need pogo or the 6-pin soldered in? Or are the ready for when you are? I have not even seen one of them yet.

The 8820 is JP1.2

The 8820 has the same physical connector as JP1. It doesn't need a pogo nor anything soldered in.

But it is NOT the same set of signals on that connector. It needs a different cable and different PC software, and we're still working out the details.

The URC-8820 is a JP1.2 remote, these aren't compatible with the current JP1 cables or software, but we are working on getting a new cable ready for them along with some new software. From a hardware point of view, all of the JP1.2 remotes that we've seen so far have the 6-pin connector already installed.

Yeah... I knew the details were not sorted yet. Was just wandering about the connection.

I have all the faith in the world in you guys and was considering getting one. If for nothing else but the library of codes in it. I may still wait until you guys get it sorted.

It does have the 6-pin and it does have a huge library of codes, much bigger than any of the current JP1 remotes.

Could you please pre-load a setup code that includes the ASPECT code for my Panasonic Plasma as you offered here, maybe mapped to the "ANGLE" button?

Also, if it's not too much trouble, I would appreciate you pre-loading a code for my Microsoft Windows Media Center PVR. OFA suggested 1133, 1272, or 1328. However, this is not a condition of sale, only if you have time. I am new to JP1 and have to learn this stuff anyway.

Regarding the ASPECT button, what I will do is create a seperate upgrade that uses the 128.4 device codes, this will allow you to program any functions that use those device codes that you need as keymoves. I will program the ASPECT function to the ANGLE button for you as a keymove.
