You haven't mentioned IR.exe. Did you try using that?
Both RM and IR need a correct .rdf file to operate correctly. Since Rob doesn't seem to know which rdf that would be, I won't even try to guess.
On download from the remote, IR.exe will look at the signature in the eeprom and use it to select the right .rdf file (if there is one). After you try that, and report the results (maybe upload the resulting .ir file saved from IR.exe into our diagnosis area) we will have a better idea how to help you.
In the normal sequence you may not need IR.exe until after you've built your upgrade in KM or RM. But it is a better starting point now since we're not sure what your JP1 remote really is.

I have found the map file from the remote in the beginners section where I have searched to "MF355 RF".
I hope the link will work:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewt ... t=mf355+rf
The exact message when I select my remote in RM is:
"The selected protocol "Manual Settings" (01 FF) is not compatible with the selected remote. This upgrade will NOT function correctly. Please choose a different protocol."
I have used RM version V1.59 if this is important.

OK, that thread answers the question I had about the rdf file (I keep telling beginners to do the obvious forum search before asking something. But I failed to do the obvious forum search before asking which RDF you were using).
Inside that RDF it says:
Processor=6805
ProcessorVersion=RC16/18
To me that just means that *I* don't know how to add a protocols.ini entry for RM to be able to supply the protocol upgrade you need. If you manage to get the attention of any 6805 expert here (maybe Rob is) they may be able to provide the protocols.ini change you need for RM to handle the upgrade you want.

No problem, I need any ideas which I can get
I think, when the guys from OFA says that its possible to get the upgrade it will be correct and there is a possibility. But I have no idea what I can do anymore.
But its nice to hear that its not so simple and so the question was not so silly as I feared.
I think that you all there do a great job with this forum, so much infos about the remotes! And all for free.
Really great!
If its helpfully to have additional IR files with learned functions thats no problem, but I believe thats not the problem here. So I dont know if I can help with additional infos.

I wrote the protocol used in the upgrade for this device, and I only know how to write S3C8 code, so I'm not the one to convert the protocol to 6805 code. The only person here who seems to know that code is Mike England.
I will see if I can get any info on SAT/1657 and VCR/1848 for you.

I've added a 6805-RC16/18 protocol to the files. I did not have time to test this, so it's possible that some of the timing values will need to be tweaked, but give it a try.
Upgrade protocol 0 = 01 FF (M6805-RC16/18) Siemens (PB v3.12)
12 23 21 20 0D 87 80 10 08 07 00 41 42 00 41 42
56 9B CD 01 AF B6 5B A8 02 B7 5B B6 7C A8 01 B7
7C CC 01 AF
End
Here's the KM file...

And here's the PB file...

I have tried out the code (loaded it into RM, choosen my remote, copied the protocol and device results into IR and uploaded the result in the remote), now there are no error messages in the tools, but the remote doesn't send out ir signals.
Normally the device buttons on the remote control lights up for approx. 1s when a function key is pushed, now it flashs only very short and no ir signal is transmitted. I have controlled it with an oscilloscope and an ir adapter. There is no signal sended out.
What can I do to help to find the problem?
