You do understand that if you use the 8910, it WON'T communicate with either your command center or your neighbor's command center? If this is OK with you, why are you using the command center at all? If you don't need the RF extender feature of this remote, why don't you simply disconnect the command center and put it away? If your neighbor is in the same position, why doesn't he also put his command center away, then neither of you will interfere with the other.

I do want to keep using the command center for my remote because it is very useful when I have to climb uo to the roof of the house and align my satellite dishes. It allows me to use just a TV set instead of moving the receivers up there.
That's why I would like to be able to disable the RF capacity of my neighbor's remote and leave mine untouched.
Can I do that or do I have to buy an 8910?
Thanks

If that's the only time that you need the RF feature, why not only plug in the command center when you need to do that. As for your neighbor, do you know why he's using the command center?
If you unplug your command center, it means that your neighbor's remote will no longer interfere with your TV watching, but your remote will continue to interfere with his, unless he also unplugs his command center.
Just to make sure this is 100% clear, the 8910 will not work with any command center, which may or may not be what you want.

Well... now I don't feel so bad for being confused about the 8910's RF capacity!
