Hi Alan

I'm currently using Humax HD-Fox T2 remote for my Humax Mini Icord and the only button that I think I need tweaking is the 'Pause' button, which doesn't work either with live TV or with recorded play back.

As I mentioned, this remote is an option from the set-up on my Slingbox Pro-HD and it would be great if you could get it to work.

many thanks

Alan

OK, obviously I cannot change the built-in Remote, only Sling can do that. So here is my 'copy' of that Remote, which I can tweak

As usual installation instructions are at http://placeshiftingenthusiasts.com/how ... -slingbox/

Does the Pause work on this one ?

Hi Alan

Unfortunately the remote skin did not show any play back buttons at all so I couldn't check the 'Pause' button, there was also no 'media' or 'portal' buttons either.

Alan

Hi Alan

The skin is fine this time however the 'Pause' button does not work either with Live or Play back, neither does the 'Exit', 'P' up or down buttons, all the other main buttons work fine.

OK. We need to find out what codes operate those functions. It can only be done by trial and error, but isn't difficult.

At http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=12885 I have attached 2 sets of BIN files codes 2011 & 2012.

What you have to do is install the 2011 BIN file then tap on each of the buttons (including the 15 Custom buttons you get by right-clicking on the image and selecting Custom) and see what the effect is. The ONLY button that will work correctly is the Power button, the other buttons transmit codes that were not in the original remote.

Then do the same for 2012.

Let me know which File & Button combination work the missing functions.

Hi Alan

I tried the 2011 file first but could not get any reaction from any of the buttons including the 'Custom' buttons.
Then I tried 2012 file, 3 buttons worked (not including the on/off switch), 'OK' brought up the 'TV remote option', 'Right Arrow' brought up the 'PVR remote option' and 'Rewind' brought up the 'Press PVR button to control-'.
However non of the buttons worked the missing functions on either file.

OK, something has gone wrong here. I just went back and checked the original S1312 BIN file and compared the codes with the Humax HD-Fox T2 that I installed on my Slingbox and the codes for all the buttons are an exact match. So it doesn't make sense that the Ch+/- buttons, the arrow buttons and Exit don't operate with the Custom Remote but they do with the built-in Humax HD-Fox T2.

I've refreshed the BIN files at http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=12877

Can you recheck ?

Hi Alan

I have just checked the S1312 bin file and the following buttons do not appear to have any function:

1. EXIT
2. P +
3. P -
4. ADD BOOKMARK
5. SHOW BOOKMARK LIST
6. SLOW PLAY
7. SUBTITLE
8. SOURCE
9. SLEEP
10. V-FORMAT
11. PVR
12. TV
13. DVD
14. AUDIO
15. PAUSE

However I did find that the 'PLAY' button operates the pause and play during live broadcast and play back, so I have also tried this on the built-in Humax HD-Fox T2 and it functions exactly the same, by pressing the play button the picture pauses and the then continues once the play button is pressed again, so I happy with that.

Regards

Alan

Ok, I just don't understand that. My remote definately sends the same codes as the built-in HD-Fox T2 so it makes no sense that one works and one doesn't. But now you have solved the Pause function there is no reason to go down the Custom Route.
