All of my 6131s have JP1 under the back cover. Some of the original ones have the pins. The 6131Ns just have the holes. The Comcast remotes also have the pins.

So for all those with just the holes, I need to get the pins? I don't have a soldering iron, so that may be an issue.

The Comcast remotes are ready for JP1 out of the box.

If the 6131 remotes have pins, I assume that you must have sent the remote back to UEI at some point to have a code added, or you bought them used from someone who had added the pins and the EEPROM chip, because they were never sold in stores with the pins already installed.

If you want to use JP1 with the "holes" remotes, you will need to have somebody solder in the pins *and* an EEPROM chip. Read this...

Also, be aware that the Comcast remotes might be what we call JP1.x remotes, whereas the 6131s and 6131Ns are both JP1 remotes.

Vicky - can you possibly look of one more function code for me for the 0650? It is the one for R-tune/Last Channel/Jump (or whatever it turns out to be called). I thought it might be the code for Return, but that did not work, so it may be something else.

Much appreciated,
Susan

I believe this upgrade called the Jump button ChannelPrev for Previous channel.
53813 ChannelPrev
Does that do the job?
