Apparently the main processor is a "60k Samsung KB Flash COB IC" which is described as a "new version on an existing part".

Any obvious reason why IR wouldn't be able to talk to this remote?

how has this remote worked out for you Rob? is it easily programed in factory settings?

I haven't even tried. I have no interest in the remote if I can't program it using JP1.

Rob, have you given up on this remote? Haven't seen a post in awhile and curious if you have been able to program it using JP1.

mathdon has done a great deal of work and RMIR now supports the OARI06G and several other JP1.4 and JP2 remotes. You need to download both the RMIR distribution and the new RDFs.
