If you have a new remote that isn't recognized by RMIR, post the details here so we can help create a new RDF for it. Or, if there is an issue with an existing RDF or map, this is the place.

It is possible that this remote has a fixed internal algorithm that controls the buttons just like my URC-2060 that Graham recently worked on
With my URC-2060 I can only control vol mute and input keys of TV even though the number keys are in the map for TV, the number keys will only transmit the cable box codes
One possible fix that did not work for me but maybe for your remote
is to in device upgrade editor change the tv device type of your upgrade to cable and maybe even change its setup code to one of the cable boxes that it supports
No Guarantees but might be worth trying

With your upgrade, the right arrow goes up, left arrow prompts a message on the screen asking me to control the satellite box, the B (Green) button switches to hdmi 3. It's acting the same as when i was using it. Channels and volume work correctly. Others are not. The menu button doesn't even seem to respond. When i press the menu button, the device button doesn't even light up.

I tried this earlier with different combinations and got the same results. It seems to be just this Sony upgrade giving us trouble for some reason.

My satellite and speaker upgrades that I downloaded work perfect.

Are you describing VPT? Do you have a link to the discussion with Graham that you're referring to?

Jack, I have made another small tweak to the RDF, so download the latest version and try again. I have also updated the RMIR file to also include the Dish file that you earlier said didn't work.

Could you also clarify what "doesn't work" means when you say it. You earlier said that the Sony upgrade didn't work, then you said that it did work but the buttons were in the wrong place. When we're troubleshooting things like this, it really helps if you can be specific. I thought "didn't work" meant that it didn't load at all and nothing worked.

.
No to VPT this remote will only operate vol mute and input of tv
It is a cable remote so that does not surprise me
The thread is where we could not communicate with the remote because it uses a different processor and different JP1 Pinout
This is the thread but im not sure it is of any help here

Oh, you're talking about remotes that use the new S3F80P5X processor (ie, the URC-2020, URC-2060 and URC-625000) and therefore need one of the JP1 cable lines to move from pin2 to pin1, and no batteries. For those remotes, if you don't do that, RMIR can't communicate with the remote. In this case, RMIR communicates with the remote just fine, and the RDF is 99% there, Jack is just checking the button layout for upgrades.

Robman I'm sorry i forgot to mention earlier that after mdavej posted his upgrade, I ended up trying it again and it worked. The first time I maybe missed a step or something.

Anyway with your current RDF and upgrade file, everything seems responsive! Ill try setting it up for all my devices again and test it. I will leave you feedback.
